Printing process
Printing processes have existed since around 3400 BC. Even before Gutenberg invented movable type, hand-carved wooden blocks were used to print books. Today, many different printing methods are in use. Wondering which one is best for you? We’ll explain the differences between digital printing and screen printing. Some are specifically designed for small businesses, while others are used for publishers, certain print media, or larger print runs.

Print finishing
The term „print finishing“ was coined by early printers to describe the final step before a book was processed. In other words, they gave the pages a final polish before sending them to the printer. A significant improvement in the quality of today’s printed products is achieved, for example, by applying a varnish to the printed sheets before further processing at the printing plant. This gives the printed materials a glossy surface.
Custom packaging makes a big difference in the final product.
Environment
Because sustainability and print media are important to us, we have been working for years on products that are less harmful to the climate. We are a member of the Quality Association of Environmentally Conscious Businesses . We consistently save energy, avoid waste, and optimize our workplace conditions. Since installing an automatic screen cleaning system in 1992, we have significantly reduced our solvent consumption. In addition, we recycle over 90 percent of almost all the solvent used in our Hamburg printing plant by separating it from the ink residues.
